An Injunction Worth a Page in a Player's Handbook

Another battle occurred between prochoice and prolife politicians in Little Rock, Arkansas, where U.S. District Judge Susan Webber Wright “granted a request for a preliminary injunction against” a ban that would have been implemented in August.  Judge Wright’s decision to temporarily stay the ban allows her as well as prochoice advocates more time to deem the ban unconstitutional.  The consequences of the ban could involve doctors losing licenses, and also the autonomy and dynamic of a doctor-patient relationship.  Prochoice advocates are seeking ways to prevent the possible harm to women that this abortion ban may impose.

I will never understand how our country got to the point of being anti-woman in such a hateful, spiteful, and masculine way.  Women are exploited daily, receive less pay, and are the majority in terms of being victims of sexual assault.  It is disgusting to me that politicians try to dictate a woman’s body.  Enough with this patriarchal BS.  It’s time our representatives set their priorities straight and fixed some real issues such as child poverty, the economy, education, rather than spending time on the podium focusing on a religious morality issue that ‘offends’ their godly beliefs.
